Types of foam cutting machines

Foam cutting machines basically can be divided into four categories.  They are circular cutting machines, Vertical cutting machines, horizontal cutting machines and block cutters. As obvious from their names, in vertical and horizontal machines, the cutting is done vertically and horizontally respectively. Horizontal machines cut foam blocks into sheets of 250mm to 200mm. The machine is very easy to operate. The machine has one button operation, which means that one button needs to be switch on from any side for starting the machine.  This is PLC controlled machine .The cutting is performed by endless band knife. The band knife is made to run to four balanced wheels for smooth cutting. The table moves in front and back motion during the cutting process. Circular cutting machines for foam are used to cut the desired sheets of varying thickness from 30mm to 100 – 200 mm for mattresses. Circular foam cutting machines are fully automatic and come in different sizes.   The circular tables are moved by AC motors. The cutting part is done by endless band knife that moves on four wheels for smooth cutting. The sitting section is driven by electric motors and upper arm of the section comes down to give the required thickness level to the cutting sheets. The circular table moves on rollers and the cutting section moves in vertical motions to cut the foam.
